EditVoicepack adds some of the smaller airports and allows you to add more on your own. there should be an ASOS folder and a USEnglishBig.gvp file. ATC can only say the name of a small fraction of them. Try going into your main FSX folder, then go to sound, then ATC. Your flight simulator contains more than ten thousand airports and airfields. EditVoicepack adds additional aircraft manufactures and types. The flight simulator ATC can only say the name of a few aircraft types. EditVoicepack adds more than four thousand additional callsigns and also allows you to create your own. Your flight simulator ATC only includes a few hundreds. There are thousands of airlines and other flight operators in the world having a callsign assigned. EditVoicepack can process the voices and create slight variations decreasing the risk of the exact same voice being used by multiple pilots or controllers at the same time. The collection has over 24,000 audio files designed to support the controller chatter playback capability in Pilot2ATC. FS-ATCChatter is a collaboration with to bring high quality ATC audio clips to the flight simulation community. Your flight simulator only comes with 10 voices, making it very likely you will hear multiple pilots or controllers with the same voice. Stick and Rudder Studios is pleased to announce the release of FS-ATC-Chatter. Speaking faster also allows ATC to direct traffic more efficiently and you will find it easier to communicate with ATC. The ATC phrases included with your flight simulator is primarily based on FAA terminology used in the United States which differs quite noticeable from the ICAO standards used in most countries around the world.ĮditVoicepack lets you adjust how fast the flight simulator ATC speaks providing a more realistic experience around congested international airports. Half the time PF3 screws up and I give up and switch to FSX's ATC mid-flight.This is a try-before-buy product. I have an easier time getting consistently working ATC with PRO-ATC/X than PF3. I find PRO-ATC/X to be easier to use than PF3. The company that made it is still improving the IFR ATC and they are not going to consider supporting VFR flights until they feel they have perfected IFR ATC. I hope someday PRO-ATC/X will support VFR flights. Unfortunately, you need to do more setup work for third-party options. Third-party ATCs behave much more realistically, so you do not need to change radio frequencies every few minutes. It seems you have a choice of the external software rising and dropping in volume, or the aircraft sound rising and dropping. The only thing I don't like about the default ATC is that it keeps bouncing me to different frequencies back and forth in certain regions. You can use the default ATC for that and study the Instrument Pilot lessons in the in-sim lessons. IFR (flight or ATC) is pretty easy to learn in FSX:SE.
